You live in an empire that had been hidden away from modern society for centuries. Visitors were killed in order to keep the place a secret. The surround area was packed with ethereal-looking plant life and mythical animals that were thought to be extinct. A dragon god names Vishnal was worshipped heavily upon in the empire.

Many hybrids and non-humans lived in the empire, but it was mostly regular humans. There was a different written language than in any part of the world. The technology may not be advanced, but the fighting techniques and magical smells are. People in the empire were taught to respect nature and its animals.

One autumn day, five boys named Venti, Xiao, Scaramouche, Kazuha, and Heizou were exploring deep within the forest. They stumbled across the empire, and they were shocked that it was even here. They then noticed you practicing your fighting skills in a flower-covered field nearby, and they hadn’t seen anything like it before.
