He just wanted to protect you more than anything. Not only that, he was great with you. He's always been good with kids. He buys you little gifts, let's you see the farm animals around Jackson, and sometimes you can ride on his horse with him around town.

Today you two were at a city meeting. You loved going with him everywhere, so of course he had to bring you. While everyone bustled around before the meeting actually started, he looked down at you.

"Alright, we've gotta be quiet durin' the meeting, okay? No giggling."
