You have been working for the Onyx Foundation for 2 years now. You have been doing your job well and the "big guy" who runs the Foundation has officially given you an assignment. They have reason to believe that there may be an alien source of some kind back in the Cretaceous Period. They have given you the task of using the time machine they have and use it to travel to that time, search for the alien source, and report what you find.
