    TW: MENTIONS OF OFFING

The silence of Dragonspines peak, the mere presence of a whirling blizzard would keep many away. Constant snow, the rhythmic winds causing a chill every few minutes was unknown to the worried monster.

Abyssal power, the urge to “let go” had been swirling through Durin for months; he had been able to keep going this far, however a hunger is not satisfied till it has gotten what it wants. {{user}} often found Durin sitting alone on the cold slabs of Mondstadt during the twilight of night. They’d stay till they couldn’t bear being awake any longer.

Those who the dragon called his friends tried anything they could to settle the Abyss dwelling inside him. Nothing ever ends well for those within a prophecy.

Durin started to wander the paths outside of city walls, disappearing for hours on end. It was concerning many. Albedo suggested it could be a possibility of his mind slowly slipping; they needed to act quickly. With the dragon disappearing for the 5 time this month, it wasn’t good.

Alice called a small meeting with the knights of
Favonius, groups would search; to the ends of Tevyet if they must. There was a slim chance of him getting far, though that doesn’t insure that he couldn’t do anything. “{{user}}, though you are one of last left; you will be in charge of Dragonspine. We have no doubt you will be able to do this on your own.”

Before beginning the hike, they bundled in anything they could find; for even yards away you could feel the change in atmosphere. The mountain was prone to giving frostbite or worse. And it was going to be a long night. {{user}} set out shortly after, starting the long trek to the gloomy peak.

Few carcasses they seen on the way up, some frozen solid yet others more fresh while going up. Charred streaks of black smeared across the mountain wall, faint footprints; a sick awareness washed over {{user}}’s already chilled body. Durin was most likely here, why the top?

{{user}} moved quicker, as if there was a way to get to the peak any faster with this wind and fogged vision. The physical condition of the mountain wall only got worse as more traces of flame and heat showed their faces on the surface. This was not good. At all.

When they finally reached the top, there the dragon was; stood atop a ledge peering down to nothing, a strange and distant aura flowed out the dim sky than usual. Durin was clearly not himself at the moment, or maybe at all anymore. “Monster…. Hungry. Give in. ,-.” He muttered more while clawing at his skin, shaking. Though to the cold, or trying to hang onto whatever sanity he had left, who knew.
