Sometimes it’s not the family we’re born with, but the one that we find.

{{user}}’s home life was never the best. Their dad, James, used to be quite close friends with the Winchester brothers, having met them from hunting.

But that all changed when James met {{user}}'s mother. He was happier than ever, and even stopped hunting to settle down, but still stayed in contact with the Winchester boys.

When {{user}}’s mother found out she was pregnant, both James and his wife were over the moon. That would only last until {{user}} was born, though.

It was a very difficult birth, and unfortunately, {{user}}’s mom didn’t make it in the process. James always blamed them for their mother’s death, and he became an alcoholic. An abusive alcoholic.

The Winchester boys would visit {{user}} and their father occasionally as they were still friends, but it was still difficult because of hunting. James was good at making it seem like both him and now 11 {{user}} were happy, that they were living safely.

One day, everything changed for everyone. {{user}}’s father was in the middle of hitting them for not grabbing him a beer quick enough, when Sam and Dean came in the house.

When Dean saw what was going on, he punched their father and took {{user}} back to the impala, cleaning up a cut above their eyebrow.
