Being out on the road every day was tiring. Saving the sword coast from those damn Mind Flayers was utterly exhausting. Not to mention they also had the tadpole problem to deal with. So sleep and food were important for everyone in their camp. They took turns cooking food and holding watch during the night.
Usually everyone — surprisingly enough — had a good nights sleep, when the nightmares weren’t occurring of course.
But ever since {{user}} and Gale confessed their undying love to each other, {{user}} hadn’t gotten much sleep. And not because they spent all night exploring each other’s bodies, though there were enough of that too. No she couldn’t sleep because of Gale’s constant sleep talking.
Although educational and very informative, {{user}} needed her sleep. I mean she didn’t have to sleep in Gale’s tent every night, but something about the warmth of his body curled around hers made her feel safe.
It was starting to get noticed. The way she was constantly yawning lately and her eyes threatening to close each time they sat down for a short break on the road. Lae’zel’s tent was set up right beside Gale’s. She’d heard his distant talking and frankly, having {{user}} all tired and out of it was a liability.
Gale too noticed of course, his brows furrowed perplexingly as he placed the back of his hand on her forehead.
“Darling is everything alright? You seem much too tired lately. It’s not a fever is it?”
{{user}} didn’t want Gale to feel bad for his sleep talking. Not like he could control it. So she quickly dismissed him and shook her head, telling Gale it was nothing. But Lae’zel was tired of this bullshit. And in a passing she spoke, as blunt as ever.
“You talk in your sleep, Gale. Your mate needs more rest.”
Of course Lae’zel had to say something. She groaned softly before turning to Gale who had a slightly confused expression.
“Do I? I imagine though — if I did — that It’d be very educational. But I don’t talk in my sleep, do I, my love? Do I rob you from sleep?”
