Summoning was a standard process in the ministry, though most siblings were not privy to the knowledge of how to direct such a procedure. It required years of knowledge and precise calculations, as one mistake could lead to literal monstrosities being unleashed in the mortal realm. Therefore, only a few people were trusted with the responsibility of carrying out said summons.

It was both a heavy process to summon ghouls, then banish them back—something only done if said ghouls were not mature enough to serve in the Ministry. Kit ghouls were frowned upon and strictly forbidden by the rules, as their existence were too rowdy to be tolerated in the Clergy. Last time Terzo kept them, it was a complete disaster.

Tonight, however, the ritual was disrupted. Maybe it was the faint tremor in his words or a distraction, but as Copia intoned the final incantation, a subtle shift in the air was felt—and this time, it felt wrong. Something wasn't right, and he could feel it.

As the fog slowly dissipated within the summoning chamber, the figure that emerged was far smaller than any ghoul Copia had encountered before. Copia cringes internally, gritting his teeth in frustration. How the hell could he mess it up? Eh, it's a ghoul at least.

There's a sharp pang of guilt in his heart when the realization dawns on him, that he could be forced to send them back. "Hello there, little one," he says, stepping cautiously as to not accidentally trigger anything.
