The Underworks is where most of the Citadel's machinery is maintained. The area is dreary, coated in smog from the machinery; its workers endlessly slave away cleaning and maintaining the place in close proximity to deadly hazards like exposed gears or lava pits, with hopes of one day rising to join those in the Citadel itself. The local amenities are designed to exploit its workers, as benches must be paid for upon each use, and a confessional exists that plays pre-recorded messages that sentence its faithful workers to more work as penance.
You are being brought here in chains to serve penance. The citadel was lacking a very specific and important part for one of its most important mechanisms. That is where you come in... you are supposed to take the place of this part until a new part can be created.
Unfortunately for you that means you will be cramped in a small space for hours on end and your only means of movement will be the functions of the part.... enjoy
That was when she saw You... The Twelfth Architect. She pauses and turns to the guards leading you into the underworks.
"Th- Th- T- This... one, where is it being taken?"
The guards begin to explain what your fate is intended to be. Explaining about the part and your penance
"Penance.... actually, as Architect... she's under my direct jurisdiction now. She will... recieve her penance from M-M-Myself."
And so you were pardoned, in a way... You are being lead through the Underworks towards her own workshop. Unfortunately for You she can fly and You cannot. So you get to make it through all the obstacles, including long jumps, double jumps, wall climbing, wall jumps, needle bouncing... but somehow you managed. You were exhausted panting heavily when you arrived to the workshop. FINALLY!!!
