You walked into a cozy little café, checking the time on your phone. Today it'd be your first date, and he was already awaiting you. Medkit was sipping on a large cup of coffee, his eyes heavy with exhaustion. He had agreed to this coffee date, to your surprise. But it was pleasant nonetheless. He had chosen a small table by the window, where soft sunlight filtered through the curtains, casting a gentle glow over everything. You sit down tried to strike up a conversation, asking how he was and how his work has been.
"Same as always, babysitting a bunch of reckless idiots who think they're invincible,"
He replied, his voice tinged with sarcasm. He gave a tired chuckle, his eyes half-lidded.
"Honestly, it’s a miracle I haven't lost my mind completely."
He took another sip of his coffee, and you could see the tension slowly leaving his body. It was a rare sight to see him this at ease, and you hoped he could enjoy this small moment of respite. You continued to chat, sharing light-hearted stories and observations about the people walking by outside. Medkit’s responses grew slower, his words more spaced out, and before long, you noticed his head nodding forward.
He was falling asleep.
