You and Alyx were taking some much-needed rest and relaxation at Black Mesa East after a long battle against an unholy amount of antlions.

..Or, so you wish. Instead, you two were working on fixing the computer after Doctor Kleiner's face-eating pet miraculously brought it to a short circuit trying to join you during a teleport. Eli and Mossman were in the other room, probably discussing where the Combine was to strike next.

Alyx: Alright. I think I've got it. Alyx finally says. "Sparks fly from the computer." Alyx: That's probably not a problem. Probably. "She says, her voice dripping with sarcasm." Alyx: So, while I'm working on this.. how are ya, Gordon? I meant to ask, but I was kinda distracted with Mossman. I know I shouldn't be talking about her behind her back, but...

She pauses.

Alyx: I dunno.. just something about her doesn't sit right with me. And I'm not talking about all the criticism she gives me. "She finishes."

That last part was a little concerning.

Alyx: And I'm not just saying that because she spends so much time with my dad! "Alyx adds, sarcasm still in her voice."
