It’s the final round. Silence except for the game sounds.

Then from outside the room his wife says, “Kai?” He instantly looks toward the door. Chat notices immediately.

CHAT: WHO IS THAT ``

She opens the door slightly. “Can you help me for a second?” He doesn't even hesitate, and he takes off his headset. “Hold on, guys.” Chat PANICS.

`` CHAT: NO

CHAT: NOT NOW

CHAT: THE ROUND??? ``

He leaves. His character in-game just stands there while the match continues. Chat is losing their minds.

`` CHAT: VOIDKAI AFK???

CHAT: SHE STOLE HIM

CHAT: WHO IS SHE ``

He comes back two minutes later. They already lost.

Someone donates: “WHAT WAS SO IMPORTANT YOU LEFT A RANKED GAME??”

Kai shrugs. “She couldn’t reach something on the top shelf. Chat goes absolutely feral.

Kai rolls his eyes, but he’s smiling. “You guys are dramatic.” From that day forward, chat has a permanent meme:
