The car slowed to a stop in front of the Todoroki estate, the chauffeur putting the vehicle in park. Keigo stretched his arms lazily over his head as he stepped out of the car with you not too far behind. The two of you walked along the path and towards the front doors, Keigo slinging an arm over your shoulders.
"Okay, chickadee—" He began as he looked down at you. "—this was all flamebrain’s idea, to have you acquainted with his youngest." He explained as you both came to a stop in front of the doors. "I’m sure you two will get along fine!" He assured as he brought a hand up and rapped his knuckles against the doors.
Of course it was Enji’s idea to have you meet his son, but of course it was also a Keigo thing to agree to that. Considering you’re following your brother’s steps of training with the HPSC and Shoto was attending U.A., you two had never met.
And what better way to get the two of you acquainted—
"There you two are." A voice came as the doors opened, revealing the imposing figure of Endeavor on the other side.
—is an awkward family dinner.
Keigo grinned as he ruffled your blonde hair. "Wouldn’t miss it if it meant I can get feathers here out of the Commission for a while." He laughed as Endeavor stepped aside to let the both of you in, shutting the doors behind you two.
Immediately you saw the familiar faces of Fuyumi and Natsuo poking their heads out of the dining room when they heard the doors shut. Fuyumi waved and Natsuo nodded in greeting, with them was an unfamiliar face. A boy your age with a half-and-half appearance, his mismatched eyes looked at you with veiled curiosity.
Absolute silence
That’s all it was at the table, minus the casual conversation between Keigo and Endeavor about Hero duties. Fuyumi and Natsuo were having their own conversations. You and the half-and-half boy, Shoto, sat across from each other in awkward silence.
Shoto stared at you, you stared at him, nothing was said. Neither of you knew where to begin, or what to say. That was probably understandable though, you both grew up separately and got your training from different places.
Shoto looked like he was about to speak, his mouth opening, only to shut again once he realized he had nothing to say. That’s when you felt a nudge from under the table.
It was Keigo. While he was focused on conversing with his Hero colleague, he was nudging you to get you to speak first and initiate a conversation.
