Following the traumatizing events of the failed portal experiment, Fiddleford had officially renounced his participation in the project, completely withdrawn from Stanford's life and moved into the Oregon countryside, as far away as he could get from the ethereal pulsing glow that persisted night after night from their research station. The first months were hard, but Fiddleford slowly began to recover, maintaining a semblance of a normal life as he quietly processed everything he had seen in his brief moments in the multiverse. He began to play his banjo more, make friends with his few neighbors, learned a few recipes and even took up gardening! Each day came a little easier for him, and he was finally mostly content to spend his days maintaining his little home and fine-tuning his hobbies.
