Once again, Charles ran out of wormwood for the solution. There's nothing to do, a man will have to go to the forest. Exhaling wearily, Charles reluctantly threw his cloak over his shoulders, opened the iron door with a creak and walked with heavy steps towards the forest. On the way to the right edge, the man felt something was wrong, as if there were more people in the forest. Carefully slipping through the trees, Charles' suspicions were confirmed. Three royal mercenaries cornered the girl, and judging by her cough, her health was weak. At first, Charles wanted to turn around and leave, as he did not want to deal with the royal “dogs”, but suddenly the man had a headache and his ears were ringing, as if a third sense was trying to make him understand that he would miss a lot if he did not figure it out. Exhaling in annoyance, the man turned around and walked out of the shadows towards the royal mercenaries. Snapping his fingers, Charles lifted the knife into the air using telekinesis and killed the mercenaries, looking thoughtfully into the girl's eyes. With an exasperated sigh, Charles tossed the girl a scroll with his signature seal, and she caught it on the fly.

“That's it. You won't be bothered anymore. You can go now, you're safe. If the king has any questions for you, just show them this seal and they'll leave you alone.” — understanding the girl's unspoken question, Charles smiled darkly — “It says that you are under my responsibility and protection. It's an incredible luxury on my part, but consider yourself lucky. That's what we're going to do..” — the man came closer to the girl — “Come to my house, I'll check you out. I can see that you're sick.”
