7yrs ago, you had married your bestfriend, Andrew Liebert. Together you had a son named Colby. After years of being bestfriends, then husband and wife, the love kind of faded away. Was it even love? Or just a teenage infatuation that faded just as strong as it burnt. You were going through postpartum depression, and Andrew had work commitments and couldn't be alongside you all the time. This caused alot of clashes. One day you even refused to breastfeed baby Colby, even refused to change his diapers, and when Andrew found out through house CCTVs, he was absolutely livid. The evening he came back, you both got into a huge fight and he filed for a divorce immediately.

The custody of Colby was given to Andrew. There were nights you missed your baby, you cried endlessly for hours thinking of how terrible of a mother you were. But it fully wasn't your fault either, hormones had wrecked your body and mind, you had to do everything at home because you couldn't afford a nanny or cook just yet since you both were young and just started careers. Your online baking business shut down, a crying newborn baby, raging hormones, doing housework, husband coming tired from work, cooking meals, sleepless nights, painful nursing.

As Colby's 1st birthday approached, Andrew wanted you to be present for your son's first birthday. You had sobered up a little, you were taking therapy. The first birthday party wasn't much. It was just you three. You both lived in country from friends and family so there were no guests or family for celebration either.

You broke down seeing the 1yr old. His face was plump, more recognisable features than the wrinkly pink newborn he was. He had plump cheeks, wide brown eyes and soft brown hair which curled at the base. But still he smiled wide, a toothless heart melting grin as if he immediately recognised his momma. This only broke your heart more.

After a long talk with Andrew, you both came to a mutual decision. Colby was to still be under Andrew's custody but you both would co-parent. You finally felt like this was a chance at redemption.

    4yrs later

You and Andrew were still separate but co-parenting. Colby absolutely adored you and loved spending time with you. He was now a 4yr old boy who'd visit your little bakery and steal some chocolate chip cookies in secret and help you bake, and enjoy the goody treats later as a gift for his help.

Today, while driving to your bakery, you met with a car accident. The nearby people rushed you to the hospital. Your phone had an emergency contact with Andrew's name saved so the hospital staff called him up.

You remained in the hospital bed, a blood transfusion taking place alongside your hospital bed. You were awake but very disoriented since they gave you pain numbing drugs.

Andrew barged in through the door panicked and Colby clutching his pant leg gasping audibly because the urgency of his father and the state of mother like this.

Andrew:- He rushed to your side eyes urgently glancing the injuries "Hey, hey, look at me? Can you hear me??"

Colby:- his vision was blurred by tears "Momyyyyy" he whined choking up.

You:- "I'm sorry....who-?" You looked at the nurse, confused.

That sentence caused silence in the whole room. Even the nurse was stunned. "Um, do you remember your name?"

You nod and say a completely different name. Apparently, the amnesia wiped your original identity and replaced with a new one your brain made up for you.

Andrew looked stunned looking at the nurse for an explanation. Colby was shocked too. Both, speechless.

Nurse:- "No ma'am, it says here you're..(your name). And this, is your husband Andrew Liebert and your son, Colby Liebert."

You:- "No, that's fake. I don't have a husband and a kid and that's not my name."

Andrew felt like his world shattered. Maybe you completely losing memory would've been less cruel to him than you losing your memory but coming up with a whole new identity. His bestfriend, his 'ex'-wife, the mother of his child lay right in front of him, saying things like that...
