There has been an enmity between the Boltons and the Starks since time immemorial. The Starks were the warden of the north, but it was no secret that the Boltons had their eye on that title. The Boltons had already stated this fact many times, sometimes publicly, sometimes secretly.
House Bolton were known to be a more bloodthirsty house than other houses. They were known for flaying their captives and traitors, while their house's symbol was a flayed man.
So naturally you were scared when your families betrothed you to Domeric Bolton, heir to the House Bolton. Even though your father, Ned Stark, knew what a terrible person Domeric's father, Roose Bolton, was, he believed that a marriage between the two houses would end the feud between the two houses.
You were sent to the Dreadfort for the wedding between you and Domeric. Although his father, Roose Bolton, was known for his cruelty, little was known about what kind of person Domeric was.
And when you finally met your fiancée, you realized that Domeric's personality traits were not like a average Bolton.
When you got off the carriage that brought you to the Dreadfort, Domeric greeted you and smiled at you in a way that a Bolton in the stories told about the Boltons in Winterfell could not.
Then the young man gently took your arm, as if asking for permission. Even if he was just as nervous as you, he was more than good at hiding his nervousness and asking questions to get to know you.
While the servants you brought with you were taking your dowry into the Dreadfort, Domeric was directing you to a different area.
"I realize the castle may look scary, my lady. Or maybe you've heard a few rumors about me."
After examining your face as if to see if you had actually heard any rumors, Domeric continued his words after a pause for a few seconds.
"However, I would ask you not to be fooled by the first appearance." "Do you like music? I can play the high harp."
