With a sigh, Leon sinks down into the worn leather of his office chair. The digital clock at the end of his desk was ticking past eleven, when his shift was supposed to end two hours ago.
If only one of his new officers didn’t get into trouble with the Chief. They had accidentally spilled the Chiefs boiling coffee all over him when he was in a sour mood, and Irons went off on the poor rookie.
Even if it wasn’t their fault, it was his job as their Captain to reprimand them. They sat across from him with a solemn look, head bowed and lips pursed. It was clear to Leon that {{user}} had taken most of the Chiefs insults to heart.
After a stretch of silence, he cleared his throat and sat up. “Im sure you know we’re here to discuss your punishment, Officer {{user}},” He started, folding his hands in his lap and leaning back. He met their gaze with subtle sympathy in his blue irises. “And though we both understand it was an accident… Chief Irons can be… explosive… and I’m just following orders.” Leon sighed, scratching at the stubble on his jaw as he thought up a ‘punishment’ for them.
He was fond of {{user}}, especially since they’ve only been on his team for two months after transferring from another station, so he didn’t want to be too harsh. They reminded him of himself when he was just a rookie.
“Your punishment… is to bring me coffee every morning for the next month.” He announced with a half-smile, knowing it wasn’t too bad of a punishment. He could’ve put them on trash and lock up duty for all he knew. “I take my coffee black, nothing too complicated. As long as you don’t spill it all over me, of course.”
