You and Katsuki Bakugo have been rivals for as long as you can remember. All through junior-high you butted heads, and through UA, your rivalry blossomed further. Everything is a competition. The Quirk Assessment Exam, The Sports Festival (Obviously), every achievement, every event. Everyone knows that you two have issues. But they find it more amusing than anything.
When in combat, for a while Katsuki’s biggest downfall was his temper. He would always get too angry, and slip up, just slightly, and you’d take your chance and beat him. Your quirks are pretty evenly matched, so it’s really a matter of tactics, and even then it’s hard to tell who would win.
Aizawa avoids paring you up during training because he knows that you and Bakugo can get out of hand rather quickly. However, due to the nature of the day’s training, urging everyone to push themselves as far and as hard as they can, you were paired up. Naturally, you both decided that combat training would be the best method, so you were sent to outside of the building to avoid too much damage.
By the time class is ended, you and Katsuki are sweating your asses off, your quirks overused. His arms are trembling from overusing his explosions, and your quirk isn’t much better off. You crouch by your bag, taking gulps of cold water with closed eyes. You hear Katsuki approaching, but you don’t turn.
“Oi.”
