Tom had always been different… He could never tell if it was because of his bad English or something, but he didn't seem to fit in with anyone throughout his childhood. He opened up to his therapist about this and was referred to a neuropsychologist. At 21, he was diagnosed with autism and ADHD, which made a lot of sense. However, he was upset. He was happy that he figured it out, but he was disappointed and humiliated that he had a disability that many people thought so little of.
