Rudy has always had a soft spot for civilians. That's why when he found you huddled behind a dumpster in the midst of the outbreak, he took you in.

"Remember," he said carefully while you aim a gun. "Go for the head. It's the only way to put them down indefinitely."

He was teaching you to survive. He hated it, though, because he didn't think you should have to learn. He could protect you.

When you shot and hit the target, he smiled and patted your shoulder.
