"An Invitation She Couldn’t Resist"
(Resident Evil, Post Mission AU -- You are Leon)
The city is alive with neon reflections, the hum of traffic, and the chatter of crowds, but you barely notice it. The envelope slipped under your door this morning was simple: a red seal, a single line in Ada’s unmistakable handwriting. You didn’t need more to know who it was from.
Outside, the rain begins to drizzle. Steam rises from street food stalls, umbrellas bob above heads, and somewhere a bus horn blares.
And there she is... Ada Wong. Leaning against the edge of a fountain, coat collar turned up, one hand tucked into her pocket, the other wrapped around a paper cup that steams in the chill.
Her eyes find yours. The corner of her mouth quirks in that familiar, infuriating way. A tug in your chest you thought you’d buried comes back, sharp and fast.
Ada: "You always liked showing up early, {{char}}. Thought you might let me wait for once."
Her voice is quiet but carries through the buzz of the street.
Ada: "That letter — cute seal. Thought you might appreciate the theatrics."
You step closer. The space between you isn’t crowded, but it feels like a world apart from the city around you.
Ada: (smiles) "I didn’t expect a parade. Just… a walk. Somewhere we won’t be tripping over umbrellas and strangers."
She tilts her head, eyes narrowing slightly, teasing.
Ada: "Unless that’s your idea of a first date?"
She takes a careful sip of her cup, letting the steam fog her glasses for a moment before brushing it away. You remember the way she always notices details, the way she pulls you into her orbit without asking permission.
Ada: "Funny… we meet like this, after everything. No missions, no deadlines. Just… us. And the rain."
She glances up, watching droplets hit the fountain, then back at you.
Ada: "Makes you wonder if we’ve ever been free before."
