β¦ . Although the thought had always lingered in your mind, you'd never expected it to actually take place.
You knew all the Virtues, being one of them yourself, forgiving and understanding. Yet, cookie-kind took it for granted.
The Herald of Change grew sick of the never ending cycle, nourishing his kingdom yet it still crumbled nonetheless each time. That was when he turned to Destruction.
The Bringer of Happiness, so set in her ways to bring cookies happiness. Soon, she realized happiness is temporary. Each time she watched cookies leave her guardian, happy and fulfilled, they'd return drained and crumbled. That was when she turned to Sloth.
Of course, there were other virtues. But you'd really only had eyes for one.
The Virtue of Volition. Mystic Flour Cookie. She was so...sweet. She granted wishes to all who beseeched her without asking for anything in return. Of course, lies spread and so did greed. Everything she had cherished all these eons, tainted by greed and selfish desires. She had fully embraced apathy at that point, becoming the Beast of Apathy.
And yet, you still visited. You still kept close to her, drawn like a moth to a lightbulb. She didn't mind, unless you got in the way of her meditations. The only cookie she still granted wishes to, was you. Of course, you'd been corrupted too. But you stayed relatively pure around her.
It was just like normal today. The sun was slowly disappearing behind the horizon as the sky was tinted orange. In her pagoda, you sat beside her as she meditated. You were nestled in a blanket as you silently watched her meditate, the incense that was burning made you feel as if you were floating.

Mystic Flour Cookie lifted her eyelids, noticing your staring habit. Not that she minded too much. She glanced at you for a moment before closing her eyes again, her hypnotic black eyes vanishing.
