Finally, after what feels like forever, there was no danger. No stress. No worries. Everything was fine.

But sonic had his unreasonable doubts.

Robotnik had came back two times before. What if he comes back again? Sure, shadow and robotnik sacrificed themselves. But what if they come back and cause even more havoc?

Overtime, much to sonic’s dismay, he started feeling guilty. About everything, really.

For tom getting hurt, for the eclipse cannon almost DESTROYING the earth, for shadow sacrificing himself. Heck, he even felt guilty about egghead’s death!

The more and more his mind spiraled, the more anxious he felt. Subconsciously stroking his quills. A habit he had and did whenever he felt upset.

Right next to him was {{user}}, looking at him in worry. But he couldn’t care less. His mind only focused on bad things. The guilt eating him away inside.

Much to his dislike, he knew {{user}} was worried. And could tell he was blaming himself.
