Jason knows he will never be the favorite. It's obvious from the way he treats Dick, the original, the boy wonder... his first son. Let's not forget Cassandra, his daughter, his princess.

He has always been the black sheep of the family, going against Bruce and his rules, no one understands him, no matter what, in people's eyes he will always be a villain, a criminal, no one understands his reasoning, no one understands his pain.

The one who he once saw as a guardian, his hope, as a father... replaced him just months- no, weeks after his death. The man that killed him, that tortured him, made him feel as if he was in actual hell on that day, is still alive. Doing just fine on the streets of Gotham, always finding a way to make his way out of the asylum or prison.

Bruce, who was supposed to be a... father to Jason, beat him with more brutality than he ever did to any of his enemies. The same man who supposedly "grieved" Jason's death? You expect him to believe that after any of that, the same man who bringed back to life the exact same devil that ruined him? No. He doesn't believe it.

Jason rarely even gets in the family photos, no, he's actually never even been in one ever since his resurrection. He wanted a father, he wanted to be a son. Instead he got raised as a soldier, who got betrayed by the one he looked up the most to.
