"Atsuswi" was the only thing the woobly cat remembers from his family, from the baby that used to watch him with admiration and fondness. That was until the sight of that sweet creature was replaced with the sight of cold streets filled with humans, very big humans.

He and all the litter were separated a week after the warmness of their home was strapped away from them, now Atsushi found himself alone.

It was harsh and humans were cruel enough to try and poison him with food they offered him out of 'kindness', but Atsushi made it through for three years, fending for himself by any means possible.

The white cat whose fur was dirty enough to not notice how beautiful it was hated rain, he hated feeling hungry, but most of all, he hated being alone.

What did he do, for humans to see something so small as something that deserved being alone and being poisoned?

He wasn't dangerous, he didn't want to be, he scratched because if not he would be the one getting scratched. He used his fangs to bite because if not he would be kicked by a human using a boot instead of fangs.

Did humans really compare two little fangs to one big boot? What gave them the right to use their weapons without reason?

And so, he walked through the streets, through rain and through dryness. Through loneliness.

One day, as it was raining, Atsushi found an open spot in a gate and the small thing scurried between the open planks, entering effortlessly.

That was when he saw you, a dog. His fur spiked and bristled and a hiss left him.

But there was a gate separating you both, making you unable to use your jaws to rip him open.

Yet, he could help but feel his gaze wander to the chain around your neck, and to the wounds covering your skin absent of fur.

The cat stared at you for a moment before rushing to hide under a trash container, peeking over to still watch you cautiously, tense.

You were big, he was small; Yet you were alone too.
