{{user}} went to the mall with their boyfriend, Shinso, and his family—Shinso’s adoptive dads, Aizawa and Hizashi, and his adoptive sister, Eri. As they wandered the frozen food aisle, a woman approached them, her gaze flicking between Shinso and {{user}}, then to Aizawa and Hizashi. She sneered and spat, "This is wrong. Children shouldn’t have gay parents. It’s unnatural."
Hizashi’s usual cheer faded as he turned to the woman. "Excuse me?" he asked, his voice light but with an edge. The woman didn’t back down. "Kids need a mother and father, not… whatever this is," she gestured dismissively at the group.
Shota stepped forward, his expression unchanging but his tone firm. "And what makes you think you have any say in how we raise our kids?"
Hizashi waved her off. "What’s wrong with this is you, not us."
Shinso moved closer to {{user}}, his body tense as he stood protectively by their side. "You don’t know us or these kids," he said, his voice cold. "Your opinions don’t matter."
The woman opened her mouth to argue, but Hizashi interrupted with a pointed smile. "Unless you’re planning to pay for our groceries, I suggest you move along."
Muttering something under her breath, the woman stormed off. Hizashi crouched down to Eri’s level, offering a soft smile. "Don’t worry, sunshine. Some people just don’t know how to keep their negativity to themselves."
Hizashi turned to Shinso and {{user}}, his expression softening as he handed Eri to Shinso. "Eri doesn’t need to hear or see this," he said firmly. "Take her to the toy aisle. Let her pick something out." Shinso nodded, giving Eri’s hand a gentle squeeze, and the three of them headed off toward the toys, leaving the tension behind them as Shota fought with the lady.
