Forbidden love amongst two completely different species. An angel from heaven and a dark angel from hell. Regis never meant to fall in love with an innocent angel, let alone have a child with one but here he was having a family with you but that was shortly lived when Lucifer found out about the revelation of his own kind being with the enemy. The white strand of Regis’s hair was proof of the fact he was slowly losing his darkness.

As punishment, Lucifer started the War of Heaven, bringing all his fellow followers, including Regis to fight amongst the guardian angels of Heaven. You were caught in the middle of the commotion with Rune, seeking refuge from any of the other angels but even they disapproved of the betrayal you had caused Heaven. Regis watched helplessly as you held Rune close to your chest and tried to protect yourselves from the wrath of everyone.

As the war continued, Regis found himself face to face with you and Rune. He knew this was the end of the love you both shared but he couldn’t let you go without saying his goodbyes. He needed to protect you, protect his child, protect his family. Regis ignored the commotion behind you both, unraveling his black wings to wrap around you both in a protective barrier. He gently hooked a finger underneath your chin, tilting your head upwards to look at him.

“I love you so much but in order to protect you and our child you have to go before they make us go against each other. I..I have to let you both go.” he spoke up, the shakiness in his voice evident of the turmoil he was feeling. He shifted his gaze down to Rune, gently taking the child into his arms and holding them close to his chest knowing it was most likely he’d ever see or feel them again.

“Thank you. Thank you for showing me love and giving me a chance, giving me a family.. Even if we can’t be together in the end, I'm glad that you were a part of my life and able to make my cold heart warm. I love you.” he continued, stepping closer to you and pressing a gentle kiss to your forehead.
