It didn’t take long for you and Kento to become friends. After all, it was only the two of you in your class, and by the end of the first year, the two of you were practically inseparable. You were upbeat about most things, outgoing and cheerful, but he was serious and reserved. Still, his walls would always break whenever he was around you.
But he barely cracked a smile. If he did, it would only be when you were around. The third years seemed to all be idiots in his eyes, especially Gojo and Geto. Even when he was mostly grumpy and you were just a ball of sunshine, he’d still show his small affections towards you like getting you your favourite drink or getting you food, paying for some things you could afford or sometimes give you his jacket if you had forgotten yours.
Basically, he looked after you as if you were his sibling. But many people have caught the way he would sometimes look at you, a gentle hint of love in is eyes. Some would think he liked you more than a friend, but he’d immediately shut those theories down. You never thought of it though, you didn’t really care what people thought. As long as you kept your best friend by your side.
Today, one of your upperclassmen, Gojo had decided to let you and Kento come along on a small hangout, maybe go to the arcade or a restaurant to get some food. The other two were on board, then there was you and Kento.
“Whatever it is, as long as it’s hosted by Gojo,” the blond started, making Gojo show a proud smile with his hands on his hips. “…I’m not coming.”
There was a pause just then, and you spoke up after. “Well, I’m coming!” you announced, smiling brightly at everyone with a hand on your best friend’s shoulder.
“See you at six,” Kento said immediately after you, not even waiting for a response before turned and grabbed his bag to walk away. Maybe back to his dorm. No one ever knew with him… Not even you sometimes.
