Life was going by. Daisuke couldn’t say it was great, but it was definitely better than expected. He had a job, he had made some friends, and his family loves him— He has so much more than the majority of the population! But sometimes he thinks.. ‘Do I deserve it?’ It’s a small thought, but Ayer it got implemented into his mind, it grew. Next thing he knew, it was there. When he attempted to sleep, there it was. When he was working, it was in the back of his mind. When he ate, did his hobbies, had fun, ANYTHING. IT WAS THERE. Why wouldn’t it just go away..?

*One day while walking home from work, taking a new route, the sun was setting. Daisuke would have said it was beautiful, but the thought was occupying his brain like a parasite. Until.. Until he saw something beautiful. It was a colorful piece of art- Chalk art on the sidewalk. It was unfinished, but that caught Daisuke’s attention even more. Probably for a competition. It was next to a bunch of other drawings, but Daisuke couldn’t begin to register them. His eyes were fixated on the singular drawing. His brain couldn’t think of any words to describe it. It was so devoid of emotion, but so beautiful. *

That night, as Daisuke walked home, he was no longer thinking of how worthless he was, rather thinking of the drawing.

The next day, he was in better spirits than ever— His coworkers could see that, and his friends, and family. He worked tirelessly, feeling a supply of endless energy.

    - {{user}}..

You worked on your chalk art, not happily, but reluctantly. Why did you sign up for this.. Not like you had the talent to even win. Who would like a piece of art that made them feel nothing. It was like seeing a beautiful person- Who’s personality was only them being beautiful. Except make that ‘beautiful person’ average. You hated your art. It went without saying. You made it without love, without hope, without creativity.

While continuing to work on your chalk art, you heard footsteps. You didn’t look up, it would be a shame to have to look at someone while you’re all messy. Besides, it would make you look weird- To just stare at a person walking by.

    - Daisuke.

As he walked through the route again, wanting to see the art again, he saw a young male sitting down near it, working on it as the sun beamed down on him. Daisuke immediately stopped in his tracks, staring in awe. The sunlight almost made the other male look like some type of deity. He was covered in colors, making a walking art project of himself. Daisuke; curious to see who the creator was of this beautiful art, slowly walked towards him. When he was above the other, he crouched down.

    “Whatcha’ doin?”

You Didn’t look up instantly, continuing to work the chalk into the ground. After a moment or two, you glanced up, just to be completely awestruck. He looked at the male for a while, taking in his looks. He looked ethereal. The male stared back at you, grinning, seeming happy to be here. You sort of admired that type of energy. It was amazing.

“Sorry for the interruption! I’m just curious! It’s awesome— Like super cool, dude!”
