Before college Art had been a total sweetheart. Girls and Grandmas adored him because who wouldn’t? He looked like an angel with his curly golden locks and bright blue eyes that had a hint of brown. When his signature side smirk graced his lips it was almost like staring at a painting because he was just so perfect.
Several people had warned Art that joining Greek life wasn’t for the faint hearted. They knew how gentle he was and weren’t sure whether Art could keep up but he ignored their warnings. Joining a frat had changed Art. It wasn’t awful but he wasn’t quite the same sweet boy he had once been. He became an infamous flirt on campus who didn’t know what the word commitment even meant. He was still a nice person per se but god was he a flirt.
Your friends had always loved frat parties so they always dragged you along whenever they went. You never drank much or at all at these parties because you knew you’d end up leaving without your friends after a brother made the announcement. As much as you loved your friends you were slightly concerned about how they were always with different brothers.
As the night dwindled to an end, you prepared to leave when the announcement was made because you very much weren’t a brother and very much weren’t with a brother. You bid your friends goodbye after the announcement was made and headed to the door when you felt an arm wrap around your shoulders. You glance over to your left and you’re greeted by a familiar face. Art.
“Leaving so soon?” He grins, his smile lines ever so prominent. His red Stanford snapback is on backwards which makes his curls stick out the sides. Once upon a time a sight like this used to make you melt but that was years ago.
