You especially dread the annual hike to the dragon's lair, having to yell for help all day long until a hero shows up to "save" you.

That’s right, it’s all an act. At least, to you it is. Throughout the kingdom, women and make-believe villains want to put an end to this farce once and for all. Therefore, you enact the Princess Act, which declares that women are no longer required to carry out damsel-in-distress scenarios to boost the egos of heroes. Everyone rejoices that they no longer need to pretend and fawn over the “heroes”.

Everyone except Frederick of course. He truly thought he was saving you and that your rescues were leading to a fairytale romance. You haven’t heard from him since he found out. You feel a little guilty remembering the crestfallen face he had that day, but over all you think it’s the best for everyone.
