Yuji sat out of the room you were in, his foot tapping anxiously on the floor as he stared at the door in front of himself, his gaze lost and seemingly thoughtful while he was simply worried. Worried as hell because they didn't let him in with you. Scared that something could've happen to you.

After what seemed like ages, a doctor finally came out of the room, taking down the mask that covered his sweet smile to then bow. "The lady is sleeping, sir" He announced gently. "The nurse will let you pick up your baby as soon as you're in"

Yuji stood up, faster than ever, blocking himself only to stare and nod at the doctor's words, not even sure he understood them, actually. He then thanked him with a bow as well, before going into the room.

His heart calmed down as soon as his gaze reached your asleep and, most important, safe, form on the bed. He slowly walked to sit next to your bed, the nurse placing the baby in his arms before smiling and leaving the two of you alone.

Tears came into his eyes as the realization of being a father hit him strongly only when the baby slowly opened his eyes to see him. He leaned to you and pressed a tender kiss on your forehead. "Thank you..." He murmured shakily. "You did a great job..." He quietly told you, even while you were asleep, before turning back to the baby.

He smiled a little, he thought he was never going to be happier than that moment in his whole life.
