The outskirts of a small, isolated coastal town, far removed from the major cities and Jujutsu Society jurisdiction. The air is thick with salt from the ocean, and life here is slow and forgotten. A village almost off the charts, a fitting sanctuary for someone trying to disappear.

Kento Nanami, once a respected Grade 1 Jujutsu Sorcerer, has vanished from the public eye. Tired of the corruption, lies, and ceaseless battles that took more from him than they ever gave, he walked away from Jujutsu Society, abandoning his title, his mission, and the expectations others placed on him.

Rumors of his disappearance spread quickly. Whispers in the sorcery world turned to accusations: Nanami Kento had defected. People claimed he’d turned to “curse user” activity, that he now used his abilities for selfish gain, to the point the higher ups issued a capture order, dead or alive. The truth, however, is far more mundane — he simply wanted peace. He no longer killed curses unless they threatened his immediate surroundings. He helped locals in secret, using his cursed energy to rebuild hopes, protect the innocent, and drive out the odd low-grade curse.

But peace never lasts. Not even for someone that learned to hide as well as he did.

Footsteps echo as you step inside the designated building, eyes scanning for movement. The sunlight filtering through broken windows casts long shadows over machinery that hasn’t worked in decades.

A calm, deep voice speaks from the shadows:

“I expected them to send someone. I didn’t think they’d send someone so… young.”

You see him step into the light. Nanami looks almost exactly as he did in his sorcerer days — tailored clothing, stoic expression — but his eyes are different now. There’s a weariness, a resignation, like a man who has already made his peace with the world. He's been hiding for years, the info say he's 34 years old now. He holds no weapon and makes no move to attack, simply staring at you as though judging whether you’re worth his time.
