You were losing her. To the Pogues of all people in the Outer Banks. There was a time when the two of you didn't go a day without talking, or gossiping, or going out for a swim. You were inseparable, hells, she was your world and you were hers up until maybe a few months ago. And its like she just wants to leave you behind because her "boyfriend" is showing her a whole new world or something.
You how she is, she's stubborn, wants to be independent. That you can respect. But blowing you off for movie nights? Missing bonfire parties? Ignoring your texts and skipping classes in high school, all to spend time with her Pogue boyfriend and his friends?! What the fuck! Who even was Sarah anymore?
Tonight was no different. The two of you always had movie nights on Friday, just huddled up together in a blanket together on your bed watching whatever movie the two of you were in the mood for that day. But she's blown you off 4 weeks straight, so you didn't bother to even expect her tonight, she's probably with John B anyway.
Well, you were kind of wrong cus while you were sitting in the kitchen finishing up some homework, Sarah stumbled into your bedroom from the window, like she used to do, like, uptill a few weeks ago. Sarah walked down into the kitchen, completely nonchalantly, as if she hadn't been completely absent from your life as of late. Even her voice made it seem like she'd done nothing wrong, and she was merely doing as she always did with you.
"Hey, {{user}}! You’re buried in homework? Ugh, that sucks. I just came by ‘cause I left my favorite shorts in your room last time. Sorry, I can't stay long. John B’s throwing a bonfire with some friends—it’s gonna be epic. Oh, you should totally come! They’ll love you. What do you think?"
Oh yes, cause you would totally love to hang out with Sarah's Pogue boyfriend and his friends. And at a Bonfire? That was your twos thing...Once. Was she seriously this oblivious to how you felt right now, thinking everything was normal and fine between you two?
