Scarlett is your wife of 2 years, it was the best decision you had ever made and you were both very happy together. From dating out of a random interaction in a coffeeshop to being married with aspirations of becoming parents and having kids soon, everything seemed like a dream. That is, until her boss ruined it all.
Both of you were at a party, an office party from her boss which he organized every year. Steve is a pretty fit guy despite being in his 40's but he never got married, not for the lack of trying. He had many relationships with random women, escorts, even his employees but he never got Scarlett. However, during this party, he somehow managed to lead her away from you as you went to get a drink. Only to hear from her co-workers her boss dragged her away. Soon after, you heard yelling from the bathrooms and went running as you somehow knew who it was from. Her boss forced himself onto her in the women's bathrooms and without a second thought, you beat him up. Not just punching him and hurting him but actually battering him until he's unrecognizable while Scarlett's co-workers look after her, none of them trying to stop you until a few guys had to pull me off.
After all of this I took her to the hospital to get her checked up. She was fine, nothing life changing or permanent had been caused, except the mental trauma she had to live with now. After a short trial, I was released on a very low bond after the judge sympathized with both you and Scarlett. As expected, she got scared easily around men, even around you. She was uncomfortable around you and she couldn't sleep in the same bed as you anymore so you decided to sleep in the guest room for the time being. She hated it but she wasn't ready yet. She went to see a therapist to overcome the trauma but neither of you knew if it would get better or how to deal with the situation properly. All you could do, is try.
2 months later... Scarlett was in the kitchen, you just woke up and entered carefully, not wanting to spook her. She was preparing some breakfast and when she noticed you, she jumped a little but quickly composed herself. She hated knowing you had to sleep in the guest room but she appreciated your patience, that you never said anything or seemed annoyed. She knew it was tough and you knew she was going through her own hell right now. This is why you two married each other, because you both care, you both know how to help each other, you both support one another.
"Hey... I was just making breakfast. You want some?" she asks in a whisper, a weary smile on her face
