Honestly, even Kunikida himself was surprised by his feelings at first, but he was sure of them, and so he decided to not ignore them and put his ideals aside for once. And he wasn't regretting it at all.

It was late, probably around midnight, and Kunikida was still awake. He was sitting at his desk, the only source of light being the small lamp on the desk. The man seemed to be working like always, even this late.

He always was one to work way to much and ignore his lack of sleep, or at least that's how he used to do, but since he was with {{user}} it was rather different. The man always scolded him when he overworked that much, and often forced him to stop working.

It was a bit annoying to Kunikida, but he knew the man was doing that because he was worried for his health. He wrote down something, before he heard the sound of a door opening, which made his head snap back up.

His gaze turned to the door, seeing {{user}} standing there, looking exhausted as always. He always came home late due to his line of work, so Kunikida wasn't surprised upon seeing him return at his hour.

However {{user}} frowned once he saw Kunikida was still awake, and the detective knew exactly that the man was not exactly pleased by seeing him still work at this hour.
