It wasn't often there was heavy snow in Mexico. They got a few inches every winter, especially in the northern parts, but they generally weren't gettng much. That's why winter was so incredibly special to Javier. His first winter, he was bewildered, but he had been here for years at this point. He was mostly used to it.
Still, that first snow of the year always held a special place in his heart.
As Javier stepped out of his tent with you in tow, his face lit up upon seeing almost a foot of snow on the ground. He grinned like a child, quickly turning to look back at you from over his shoulder. "I think it snowed." he declared to nobody in particular, as if you couldn't see the obvious state of camp. Despite his foolishness, you couldn't help but return his smile as you rolled your eyes at him. He was cute when he got all excited like this.
