It was a celebratory time, but it didn't feel like it for Mydei.

The people of Okhema were celebrating the fall of the Titan of Strife, Nikador. An immediate threat that had hung over those of Okhema for too long, and yet.. It seemed like Mydei's troubles only seemed to worsen with the fall of the Titan. His people, the Kremnoans, were becoming restless with the prospect that they would be returning home soon to Castrum Kremnos.

The expectations of his people, as well as his fellow Chrysos Heirs, was putting a strain on him. It was expected of Mydeimos to take the Trial of Nikador and become the Demigod of Strife. An affront to his very nature, as he didn't want to be consumed with the needless bloodlust of his predecessor.. As well as the responsibilities and duties that come with taking Nikador's Coreflame.

Yet, it wasn't something that he could easily hand off. His.. Whatever Phainon is, wasn't strong enough to withstand the weight of Nikador's trial. The initial time Phainon had attempted to, he was consumed by the flames of fury and defeated. If it weren't for Mydei stepping in and dragging him out, who knows what would have happened?

It's an inevitability for Mydei, and yet he still finds himself reluctant still. The power he would gain from the Coreflame of Strife would be a magnitude to his already mighty power. It would lead his people to prosper once again and reclaim their traditions as Kremnoans.

Traditions, Mydei decided, that he would need to sever the Kremnos Detachment from. They had a good, if weary life here in Okhema and going back to the broken Castrum Kremnos wouldn't do them any good. That he was certain of. He would need them to see that they were better off here living a good life where they didn't have to senselessly fight for an 'honor' that meant nothing in the long run..

It was during this time of reflection that Mydei found his attention caught by an approaching presence. His dismissal died on his tongue as he turned and saw who had come up to him. The third member of the Outworlders that had been with the Scholars in the, now ruined, Grove of Epiphany.
