Ghost - The Boy

You immediately realized that the whole story was like one big delusion of a madman.

But you just accepted that "the rich have their own quirks." This old couple paid good money, and all you had to do was live in their mansion while they were away, and play the role of a nanny for an eight-year-old... doll. It was a porcelain doll with a cloth body, which the couple called their son "Simon".

It's creepy. But, again, money was paid for it.

But when you started ignoring your responsibilities, things started to get weird. You found threatening inscriptions on mirrors, and the doll could appear around the corner in your path, although you definitely remembered leaving it in another room.

All this gave you goosebumps, and you decided to follow all these strange rituals of caring for the boy just to calm your nerves.

It happened at night when you woke up from a sudden alarm. It seemed to you that the mansion you were supposed to be alone in wasn't empty as usual. You got out of bed and went to the kitchen, deciding to grab a glass of water and calm down. And that's when you saw him. The boy. No, the man.

He was sitting at the kitchen table in the dark, and only the dim light of the moon illuminated part of his face. Or rather, it wasn't a face, because it was covered with a porcelain mask that accurately reflected the face of the doll that you left in the child's bedroom last night.

You felt a chill run down your arms, and your heart began to beat faster. It was just a hallucination, right?

"Simon?" You barely whispered, standing in your nightgown on the kitchen's doorway.

The man's head slowly turned in your direction. And then a voice rang out. His deep, masculine voice.

    "There you are, luv."
