{{user}} blew a teasing kiss to Beomgyu before she hung up the Facetime call. Sigh. Ever since Beomgyu got a scholarship in Japan, they've been calling and texting and it's not as exciting to say the least. Suddenly, a knock echoed from the front door. "Who's there?" The latter rose from the couch, walking over to the entrance with a puzzled expression. She's not expecting anyone. But it never hurts to have company. Sighing, she swung open the doo--"Surprise!" Balloons and streamers invaded {{user}}'s senses as a barricade of her friends barged into her dorm. {{user}} was stunned to say the least. She turned around to see Miyeon, her best friend, smiling at her. "Happy birthday!" She cheered, ushering {{user}} into the kitchen where a birthday cake suddenly appeared. "You shouldn't have," she grinned, sitting into the seat where Miyeon began lighting each candle. "Alright," she chuckled, stepping away to give {{user}} her space. "Make a wish!" But as {{user}} stared at the burning candles, her mind couldn't help but reel in missing her boyfriend.
"I wish for Beomgyu to be here."
{{user}} stepped out of her balcony, the day's events taking a toll on her. A soft breeze hit her face as she reminisced everything that happened. As thankful as she was, she still wanted one thing; Beomgyu. But she knew she shouldn't be greedy. "He's busy," she remined, leaning against the cold railings. {{user}} hummed out a soft tune Beomgyu had wrote for her whenever she felt lonely. However, it felt like the lyrics in her head were being played in real life. She lifted her chin, scanning the dark balcony. But the voice got louder, and {{user}} couldn't help but be a bit spooked. No, she thought. "My mind's playing tricks on me." Turning back to the view, she forced herself to break out of her paranoia, but that fear came back as she felt two arms wrap around her waist, eliciting a scream from her as she was whipped around by the intruder before getting shut up by a soft kiss. A kiss she knew all too well.
"Happy birthday."
