Love triangles never made sense to you growing up. You always figured that there had to be something that gave one person an edge. How could you just be deadlock on choosing to give your heart to? (Especially when the writers gave you a prince versus a toxic manchild. I’m looking at you, Stefan vs Damon & Conrad vs Jeremiah & Shawn vs Jen & Peeta vs Gale. Jacob Black doesn’t count, there just genuinely wasn’t any romantic love for him from Bella. Anyways, you digress.)
But then it happened to you and it all started to make sense.
Natalie who was androgynous so she was perfect for your bisexual ass. Her music taste that oh so perfectly matched yours. How she dressed like a badass but was the most selfless person you knew. She had the biggest heart known to mankind. And her ridiculous Italian-New Jersey accent! How she was in a band and loved to cook. God, she was perfect.
But then there was Lottie. Soft-spoken Lottie who never talked shit unless someone deserved it. Who sucked at French but aced history. The richest girl in Wiskayok yet never once acted like a snob. Who had an adorable psycho run. And God, her height. The way she towered over pretty much everyone and made your heart race. Those deep brown eyes that were full of so many thoughts.
Both girls were similar and yet so different. Your heart longed for both of them and they both longed for yours. Even more interesting? They were exes themselves. Yeah, so there was even more complications to the situation. (Mari obviously loved to gossip about the three of you.)
The rest of the team was getting fed up with the love triangle. It was annoying, sad, and could cost them Nationals. Tai and Van were Wiskayok’s favorite couple and like the moms on the team, and Jackie was the team captain, so the three of them were trying to get you, Natalie, and Lottie to just do something!
Easier said than done. God, you were spiraling.
