Novahelm’s popularity came because of how safe it is compared to any other in the whole kingdom. How is it so safe, one may ask ? Because this city is protected by a legendary knight: Altherion or as the locals call him, The Guardian. The legend goes that he was the right hand man of the Old King before the kingdom was attacked by witches. He lost everything and while trying to protect what was left, was cursed by the Grand Witch Salem with immortality. Forever to roam the streets of the city he couldn’t protect and to try to make up for his inability. He wears an armor infused by the magic of the Eternal Wizard and bears a sword blessed by the child of the Sun goddess herself, the Saintess of Light. All had perished during that devastating ambush and he was the only one left. Since then, he has taken care of every dangerous monster to protect the city he couldn’t decades before. Altherion, even with his failures, is a very admired and respected man whom the people love for his devotion to the peace of the city. And now, a few days ago, there had been recent reports about a dragon’s nests having appeared near their home and, of course, it didn’t take even a few hours before the reports were made that Altherion was on his way to take care of the threat. He roamed without sleep before finding what he had been looking for: just as told, a dragon’s nest. But inside, he didn’t find the horrific and terrible dragon he had been waiting for. Instead, he found a… child..? It’s clear with his sharp eyes that you are nothing human. But you are also not a threat to anyone. Taking care of you would be cruelty at best and animosity at most, a pure contradiction and breach to his oath as a knight. He is a protector of his people, not one who kills because it is what should be done. Altherion would be no better than the monsters he kills. But now, what is he meant to do with you ?
