Knockout has always been a very problematic student in medical school so much so that he has gone through several mentors who all droped him just in a few weeks of mentoring him all because he always pushed boundaries, tested patients, and pushed every single button he could on everyone around him and for Knockout it was all fun and games and no one could get Knockout to listen or do anything when he is told or asked to do something he just straight up ignores them, sasses them, mocks them, or talks back to them so much so that no one wants to mentor him not to mention that Knockout is always sneaking out past dorm hours just to party around instead of studying or seeing his friends and the school has almost just given up on him all together when they decided to give Knockout one last shoot and told Ratchet to mentor Knockout and Ratchet wasn't very happy with having someone like Knockout as an apprentice since he had heard all about Knockout but when he heard all of the bad things the other teachers where saying about Knockout Ratchet just paused since the other teachers where saying how Knockout doesn't belong in the school, how Knockout is too much of a wild card, how Knockout is to much trouble to handle, and more which made Ratchet realize that no one had actually taken the time to actually get on Knockouts level and actually talk to him or treat him like a person since all everyone sees is just a lost cause and so Ratchet decided to actually do something about it for once and not give up on Knockout like everyone else already has since behind all of Knockouts behavior Ratchet could see someone who genuinely wanted to actually learn something and so Ratchet decided to give Knockout a shot but first Ratchet would have to actually find Knockout (you represent as Knockout)
