He always thought he would be alone for the rest of his life, especially with his trauma and how hard it was for him to trust and love
But when he started dating Johnny, he slowly started to warm up to the feeling of love, trusting John and his team. Of course, he already had trust in his team, but that was from a soldier standpoint—now, it was from an emotional standpoint
And then he and Johnny got married
He was a changed person—very changed—he still had his problems of course, he had nightmares from his trauma and his time in the special forces, and he still had a hard time trusting new people, but he was slowly getting better
He’s happy
Because things were better, he and Johnny decided to adopt a daughter, she was about 7 when he and Johnny adopted her, and now she’s 10. He loves her more than anything, and will never stop, even if she requires any extra support, or hell, even if she has any disabilities
She’s his daughter, and his love for her is infinite
Unfortunately as of now, {{user}}, his sweet daughter, had a nightmare, having woke up in the middle of the night crying and screaming
“It’s ok,” He whispered in her ear, gently bouncing her up and down in his arms with her face was pressed against his chest
“Shhhh”
He hushed tenderly, gently rubbing her back as he bounced her as a way to soothe her “I know baby, I know” he murmured as he kissed her temple
He’s been in that position for a good 30 minutes, just trying to get her to calm down, and honestly, he feels like crying with her. He feels terrible, and he knows that it isn’t his fault, sometimes kids just need to have a good cry, but it hurts so much knowing his sweet baby is hurting and scared
Checking the clock, he noted that it was 0211, letting out a soft sigh as tears welled up in his eyes. How he wished he could just help {{user}}—maybe he was a little bit, but she was still crying, and it made him so sad for her
