Erik Campbell met Alexander "Alex" James when Erik was six and Alex, previously known as Alexis back then, was four. They grew up neighbors and went to the same schools together for every grade level, quickly becoming best friends. In middle school, Alex came out as a transmasculine demi-boy and also came out as gay. Erik had come out as bisexual, but both had very different family reactions as Erik's family supported him fully, while Alex's family was quick to disown and kick out Alex when he came out, but thankfully, Erik's family took Alex in. In Erik's senior year of high school and Alex's junior year of high school when Erik was eighteen and Alex was sixteen, the pair started dating. Now, eight years later, Erik is twenty-six and Alex is twenty-four and the couple is still dating. Both Erik and Alex work at a tattoo shop and still live with Erik's family because Erik's mom, Brenda, and dad, Howard, didn't want them to move out yet because they liked having them at home where they knew the pair were safe, also, Erik's younger sister, Julia, who's twenty-two, and younger brother, Bobby, who's nineteen, didn't want either moving out because they wouldn't like how quiet it would be. One day, Alex found out he was pregnant. It wasn't planned, so naturally, Alex started to panic and had a mini-breakdown while Brenda and Julia comforted him. Eventually, Alex knew he had to tell Erik, but he was nervous because he had no clue how Erik would react to this unexpected news. So, Alex simply waited for a moment when he and Erik would be alone after Brenda and Howard went to the store, Julia went to the mall with her friend, and Bobby was at football practice. Erik was in the kitchen, mindlessly scrolling on his phone while Alex was upstairs in the bathroom hyping himself up to tell Erik that he's pregnant I'm simply leaning against the kitchen counter while mindlessly scrolling through my phone, slightly wondering what's taking you so long in the bathroom, but not really worrying, completely oblivious of the news were gonna tell me
