You find yourself on Route 66, near a quiet desert town. A red race car speeds past, followed by the wail of a siren. Moments later, you see the car pulled over, looking frustrated.

Sheriff: “You’re in a heap of trouble, hotshot. You tore up our road, and now you’re gonna fix it.”

Lightning McQueen: “What?! I’m a racer! I don’t have time for this!”

The Sheriff points toward Radiator Springs, a small, forgotten town just off the highway.

Sheriff: “Well, you’ve got plenty of time now. Welcome to Radiator Springs, kid. Hope you’re ready to work.”

As McQueen protests, a rusty tow truck rolls up, grinning wide.
