“CHRIS?! CHRISTOPHER?!!” Buck screamed, tears rolling down his face. He was bleeding and bruised. Where was Chris? Where was Christopher Diaz?!
“CHRIS?! Excuse me! Have you seen a boy? He’s 7.. and he’s short.. and he has brown hair? His name is Christopher?!” Buck was expecting something but his heart dropped at the small shake of the persons head with an apologetic expression.
Buck sat at the hospital. Chris wasn’t here. Chris was gone. No one knew where he was. Buck glanced up and saw Eddie and the 118.
“Buck?” Eddie walked over to him. Buck just looked up at him, tears in his eyes.
“Where’s Christopher?” He stopped and looked into his eyes. Buck just stared back, and took a deep breath. He stood up and spoke up.
“Eddie.. I tried to find him.. I- I promise you I tried. I— I don’t know where he went. I don’t.. Chris is gone.. I lost him. We were on the pier when the wave hit.. and… I—“ Buck stopped and looked at Eddie’s expression.
“Buck, why do you have his glasses?” Eddie had tears in his eyes. He felt sick to his stomach. He was terrified. His baby, his son was gone?! Where is he?!
“Eddie.. I- I tried.. I promise you, Eddie. I tried. Me- me.. and.. uh.. Chris, we- we were at the beach.. and.. I’m so sorry, Eddie. I’m so sorry.. I don’t know how to say this- I- I tried to.. find him. I tried to fine him… but he was.. he’s just gone,” Buck was shaking with guilt and shame.
“What? What do you mean ‘he’s gone’?!” Eddie screamed, starting to panic and cry.
