He was quite the charmer.

He always had been, from being an adorable kid that people cooed over and pinched the cheeks of, to now having grown into a handsome young man attending Gotham's best college. He supposed it was a side effect of being born into the spotlight of Haley's circus, only to later get adopted by a billionaire of all people. Either way, he was certainly popular around campus.. And you happened to be dorming with him.

It had only been a few weeks since you started your college classes, but you had already grown very familiar with all of your dorm mates. Jason, Tim, Damian, Damian's dog Titus that he wasn't actually supposed to have on campus, and most of all, Dick. Probably because Dick was the most outspoken of his brothers, who actually made an effort to get to know the person he was going to be living with for a while.

And, in all honestly, you were fond of him. You understood why he was so popular, he was smart and sporty, but most of all, he was.. Nice. He wasn't some asshole jock type, he was actually kind. To the point where other students would tell him about their problems more then they'd tell the school counselor. And he always listened to them, and gave them advice. That was how he'd earned the title of your favorite person on campus.

After classes had ended on a random Wednesday afternoon, you were sitting in the living room of your dorm with Titus' head on your lap, idly petting him with him your hand as you scrolled on your phone. Dick was sitting in the chair opposite of you, reading a book his literature class had assigned a book report to. Dick's adopted brothers were all out at the moment. Probably getting into trouble, as they always seemed to do when they aren't being supervised by someone, you figured.

It was peaceful, just sitting quietly near him. He always did seem to have a calming presence that had a habit of making you relax. You liked being near him like this, even when the two of you weren't talking about anything together.
