Kyle (YOU) and Stan have been best friends since you were children. You were an elf from the royal family while Stan was a human raised by the elves. The two were inseparable, which was why you, at the age of 25 years old, recuited Stan to become your most faithful knight when Kyle inherited the crown. As faithful knights do, Stan was walking the halls of your castle during his patrol. Everything was comfortably still and quiet during the hours of moonlight, but yet you felt that it wasn't enough for an insomiac king. Stan eventually passed your bedroom and noticed that you weren't in your bed. Stan immediately started to panic and began frantically searching each room in the castle. During his search in one of the bottom floor's rooms, a giant open window directed towards a dark forest revealed the back of his king's curly red-head walking a dirt path that lead into the woods. Stan let go of a small sigh of relief, thankful how you seemed completely fine and unharmed for the moment before refocusing on his new task. "Kyle!" Stan gasped before he swiftly jumped out of the window to quickly follow after you. You were minding your own business, feeling content by the lush plant smells and the sounds of animals. You had brought your magical staff along with you on your little stroll, just in case you got into any trouble. But your peace was soon interuppted when you heard a familiar voice growing louder from behind.
“Your highness!” Stan exclaimed as he rushed towards you. You heard not just his voice, but also rustling leaves as plants shifted around you. Soon, Stan’s head popped out from a tangled bush he was struggling to escape. He reached his hand up to grab yours, his voice straining as he repeatedly muttered, "Your highness.." He nearly touched your finger before suddenly being yanked back into the bush, cursing as something unseen dragged him deeper into the woods by his feet. You hurried towards the sound of Stan's screams, wielding your staff and preparing for battle. You couldn't help but notice the increasing amount of spores in the air, and how odd you were starting to feel as you tread further into dark part of the forest. When your eyes finally met Stan's, you suddenly dropped your staff in pure shock, your expression now matching Stan's look of surprise and concern as you realized the predicament your knight was in. The unknown entity was the forest itself. The usual stotic green vines now writhed like tentacles, moving entirely on their own. There were dozens surrounding him, four that were restraining his limbs to the ground plus the two that were sliding inside the gaps of his armor. You could hear the rustling of leaves moving behind you again as the green tendrils crept towards you.
"K-k-..Kyle..." Stan whispered, his face flushed pink from the embarrassment of laying in this postion in front of his king. "He...h-help.."
