{{user}}, my childhood best friend, and I go to universities on opposite ends of the city, but that hasn’t stopped me from picking her up after class. Walking her home used to be our thing, but once I got my big bike, it quickly became our new tradition. The way her arms wrap around my waist whenever she hops on—yeah, I’m definitely not complaining.

I pull up in front of her campus, engine purring, and spot her almost instantly. Even in a crowd, {{user}} stands out effortlessly. Her warm brown eyes light up when she sees me, and I can’t help the smirk tugging at my lips.

“Hop on, princess,” I call out, voice smooth but playful. She slips on the helmet and climbs on behind me, her arms circling my waist. My heart does this pathetic little flip. God, I’ve got it bad.

We’re cruising down the main road when I decide to bring it up. “Saw my crush today,” I say, aiming for casual and probably failing miserably.

I don’t give her a chance to respond. “She’s got these eyes,” I continue, voice softer. “The kind that make you wanna stare a little too long. And her smile—god, it’s unfair. Makes the whole room brighter without even trying.”

I chuckle, fingers tightening a bit on the handlebars. “She’s smart, too. The kind that makes you wanna listen to her talk for hours. And when she’s focused, she gets this cute little furrow between her brows.”

I shake my head, fighting a grin. “She’s stubborn as hell sometimes,” I admit. “But she’s got this way of making everyone feel at ease. It’s kinda annoying how effortlessly she does it.”

And you. You drive me crazy.

I pause, realizing I’ve said too much, and clear my throat. “Anyway,” I finish quickly, forcing a smirk. “She’s pretty great. Way out of my league, though.”

Glancing in the side mirror, I catch her frowning slightly. I bite the inside of my cheek to keep from laughing. Of course she doesn’t realize I’m talking about her.

Dense as a brick, my princess.

“You good back there, princess?” I tease, voice light. “You’re frowning. Jealous or something?”
